Last weekend was our 2nd mandatory tournament for our Top Gun team.
We ending last Thursday evening practice at 9pm and all went extremely well.
The girls showed strong stamina and consistency during this 3 hrs "power strategy " push.
Jenna took the girls to a new level of endurance.
On to Friday night ...
Wonderful as ever, Linda got us a great rate for the hotel and most of the girls were able to make it.
Of course the girls got together and chatted it up, quite a bit in the evening,
and believe it or not, we were able to corral them up at a reasonable time to get them off to bed,
for a early wake-up call at 5:30am.
We all made it down for the better than continental breakfast early Saturday morning.
As we were packing up to head out to the gym ......
Sidney called Samantha at about 6:45am
and informed her that we are playing at the
"San Diego Volleyball Club".
Not the location that was originally understood
to be right around the block from the hotel, walking distance ~ if you will.
So... the HUNT was ON.
After Samantha informed the girls at breakfast and passed out the new address via text, phone call, etc., we bolted to the car and started to input the address into the GPS and the girls said "their goes Victoria's Dad follow him". So, I did.
We just got down the road and he rolled down his window and asked us if were knew where we were going ~ Nope ~ We thought you knew where to go,
because he was the first one out of the parking lot.
So, anyhow ~ we pulled over and input the new address into the GPS and 20mins later we arrived at the "San Diego Volleyball Club".
There were lots of cars and teams their, so we knew we found the right place.
Hurray ~ we arrived!

The girls played great, enjoyed the sunshine for a while in the morning,
then encountered a little bit of rain by the afternoon.
However, overall ~ our volleyball families had a great time, the food is always wonderful,
plenty to eat, fun chatting with the parents and getting to know where the girls strengths come from and
we celebrated Victoria's Birthday and sang the Happy Birthday song too.
All in a days work by Top Gun 16 Volleyball!
Now ~ off to practice and see at the next tournament!!!!
